Summer Pell Policy and Procedures

To be eligible for a summer Pell Grant you would need to have unused Pell grant funds from the previous fall and/or spring semesters. This means that you would have been enrolled in less than twelve hours during one or both of those semesters.
Please review the examples below to help you determine your eligibility.

“Will I have Pell for the summer?”

That depends on how you answer the following questions.

  1. Were you full time(12 or more credit hours) for the Fall semester at GTCC or another school?(Did you receive the full amount of your Pell Grant?)
    If Yes, then Go to the next question.
    If No, then YOU WILL HAVE ELIGIBILITY FOR SUMMER PELL (This is subject to proration based on your enrollment)
  2. Are you full time(12 or more credit hours) for Spring ?(Did you receive the full amount of your Pell Grant?)
    If Yes, then YOU WILL NOT HAVE ELIGIBILITY FOR SUMMER PELL.
    If No, then YOU WILL HAVE ELIGIBILITY FOR SUMMER PELL. (This is subject to proration based on your enrollment)
